Dr. Deanna Friesen teaches courses on inclusion and special education as well as academic learning for students with exceptionalities. She is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at Western University. Her interests lie in examining and supporting reading comprehension success for all students. Her research team also conducts work on educators’ teaching philosophies & on inclusive beliefs and burnout. Recent work in her lab has examined how pre-service teachers interpret psychoeducational reports and teachers’ understanding of late-emerging reading disabilities (www.berrl.com).
