Dr. Nancy Norman is a Professor of Inclusive and Special Education in the Faculty of Education at the Vancouver Island University. Nancy completed her M.A. and Ph.D. in Special Education at the University of British Columbia and specializes in Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and mental health and well-being for both neurotypical and neurodiverse children and youth. She also is a B.C. certified teacher and a certified teacher of the deaf and hard-of-hearing, and previously was an Itinerant Teacher of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing for 15 years.
